How do we shift student mindsets from "When will I ever use this?" to "How soon can I apply this?" The answer lies in the intersection of financial literacy and equity. In this interactive session, educators will explore how to use real-world financial concepts as a powerful lever for deep mathematical engagement. By framing core mathematical standards through inclusive Project-Based Learning (PBL), teachers can unlock access to complex STEM concepts for all learners, regardless of their academic starting point. Through hands-on exploration, participants will analyze ready-to-implement PBL units that turn students into financial analysts. We will examine classroom-tested projects where students decode credit scores, simulate car buying, analyze mortgage options, and construct functional spreadsheet budgeting tools.
