About me
I am a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts and have just completed my 20th year in education. I currently serve as an Instructional Coach at Quincy Middle School, where I have worked for the past six years. My experience includes 15 years teaching middle school (ELA/HISTORY) in Omak, Tonasket, and Quincy, along with five years teaching high school English, in Oroville. I also oversee the BEST program, supporting new teachers and their mentors, and have been part of the NCESD Fellows program for more than 10 years.My educational philosophy is student-centered and grounded in the question: Are we doing what is best for kids? I believe in supporting students in ways that help them grow, succeed, and reach their greatest potential. My professional interests include instructional coaching, teacher leadership, new teacher support, and strengthening student-centered instruction. Outside of education, I love spending time with my boys, traveling, golfing, reading, and fully embracing my sourdough era.
